Meet the Writers

David Wilson is a at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University as a Newspaper and Online Journalism major. Wilson has long had an interest in journalism and co-founded 95North as another outlet for his writing. He served as the sports editor at his high school paper the Churchill Observer for a year and a staff writer for another two. He also served as a beat writer for the Bethesda Big Train of the Ripken League during the summer of 2010. Wilson is currently a reporter, producer and engineer for WAER FM in Syracuse, N.Y. on the Double Overtime postgame show and the weekly Sportsnight show. Wilson is also a staff writer for the Daily Orange in Syracuse covering women’s ice hockey and women’s volleyball. Wilson has covered women’s soccer, swimming and track and field in the past for the paper.

Brian Kubasik works at the University of Maryland at College Park athletic department. Kubasik was a classmate of David Wilson’s for four years at Winston Churchill High School before studying at George Mason University and Montgomery College as a Sport Management major. Kubasik co-founded 95North with Wilson in 2010.
